Breastfeeding 101

Join us next door at Zoolikins for our popular Breastfeeding 101 class. Meant for parents that are interested in learning about the basics and help troubleshoot any woes of breastfeeding.

Instructor Description:

Lina Bublys is a Registered Pediatric and Mother/Baby Nurse (RN) who received her Bachelor's Degree from Oakland University in Michigan. She has worked as a nurse and health educator, and even received her certification for Montessori teaching (Ages 0-3) to prepare for a more holistic understanding of infant and toddler psychology and development. Further, Lina has worked as a health liaison overseas providing medical education and care to teen mothers and orphaned children in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Currently, Lina is studying to be an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). It is her hope to become a much needed point of contact to new moms needing support in their new transition to parenthood.

Her expertise spans many aspects of this wonderful bonding experience including:

  • Prenatal education
  • Initiating breastfeeding
  • Latch evaluation
  • Transitioning back to work
  • Assistance with special needs babies, premature, multiples.

She will be giving an overview as to what to expect once baby is here and will endeavor to help you with any concerns you may have. Parents with newborns also welcome.
